Job Description

As the first accountant at BukitVista, you'll be building our financial management and accounting processes from scratch. We're looking for scalable, innovative solutions for payment collection, general ledger and mass payouts.  We process hundreds of vacation rental transactions a month and looking to scale 10x by next year. 

Our partners expect prompt and fast payouts, we expect a very meticulous and detail oriented team member. Accounting will work closely with other functions to ensure that special offers, discounts and promotions are correctly documented and paid. 

This is a multi-function role. Nobody at BukitVista is idle.  As an accountant in a small start-up, we'll need you to process reservations and manage online bookings and customer support as well. 

Accounting 

  • Supervise payouts to accommodation providers and villa owners.
  • Manage the employee payroll, profit-sharing programs.
  • Project future income and provide financial analysis of best performing and under-performing products. 
  • Keep a balance of the general ledger. 

Reservation Manager

  • Inquiries must be answered within one hour, preferably faster.
  • Inquiries must be answered professionally and with superior product knowledge.
  • Reservation manager must have experience dealing with room allocations, over-bookings, calendar management, channel management. 
  • Reservation manager must be meticulous and manage up to 40-50 bookings per day.
  • Reservation manager must work with accommodation providers and property owners to ensure the accuracy of bookings. 
  • Meet and greet guests arriving from all over the world. 

Skills Required

  • Prior accounts payable experience required
  • Experience with global financial systems preferred (i.e. Oracle, NetSuite, Workday).
  • Extensive knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel required.
  • Fluency in another language (French, Russian, Mandarin)
  • Strong integrity and work ethics.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team Player – strong willingness to support the team.
  • Proactive, assertive, and has a creative approach to problem solving.
  • Multi-tasks and adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • BS or BA degree preferred.
