Our best Airbnb reviews in Bali

December 2014

Sometimes I look at the dashboard and I'm awestruck at how busy we've been kept on Airbnb. So far here are the stats since we started about two years ago in Bali.
  • 1257 messages answered.
  • 173 reviews (all positive except for a small handful)
  • Over 200 trips hosted in the past year.
  • Met over 500 guests on holidays in Bali
It can be a bit exhausting at times since every traveller begins as a stranger and in the best cases, leaves as a friend. What really gives us the energy to go on are the beautiful reviews we've received over the years.
Mason, surfer from Santa Barbara
Mason was an engineering student from California in Bali a surf holiday near Uluwatu beach. He stayed at our surf bungalow near Uluwatu beach. He caught a stomach bug and we did what we could to get him back on his feet and in the water. Mason ended up extending his stay with us for an additional 2 weeks.
The cottages were absolutely amazing. They are in a perfect location, a few minutes off the main road so it is peaceful and quiet but only a short scooter ride to all the restaurants and some of the best surf spots in the world. Wayana is very nice, on arrival she detailed the whole area for me and gave me spots to check out. Jing even came by to drop off some liquids when I got a fever, such great people! The staff that works here are also extremely nice, always willing to hang out with the guests and provide them with anything they need.
Ulrika, single female traveler from San Francisco
Ulrika told us she came to Bali to do the "Eat, Pray, Love" thing and retraced Liz Gilbert's journey through Ubud. She was a pleasure to hang out with and we ended partying together for a wild evening at La Favela in Seminyak.
Jing & Wayana are a shining example of why I love AirBnb! They quickly responded to my emails and provided tips on what there was to do and see locally. The accommodations were comfortable, clean and simple. The pool was a nice, cool respite from the heat. I appreciated that Wayana made a point to meet me in person to see how things were going. I couldn't recommend their place enough! After Padang Padang, I was in Seminyak and Jing, Wayana and their adorable daughter Eka met me there and showed me some of the local sights in Seminyak. THAT is why I love AirBnb: it provides a great opportunity to meet locals and explore a new place through a local's eyes. Thank you Jing & Wayana for a wonderful time!
Jay, Singapore American School teacher
Jay came for an adventurous getaway with his fellow teachers from Singapore American School to our three bedroom beach front villa in Nusa Dua. They must have done every activity on the island and showed us a few new things to do as well. Rockstar guests.
One word for this listing: AMAZING!!! Jing and Wayana were beyond welcoming and helped us plan all kinds of activities. The villa exceeded our expectations (and they were quite high based on the photos). This place is beautiful! The neighborhood is quiet and a little off the beaten path (not too far). We cannot wait to go back.
