Have you ever known that communication is the best way to learn about a different culture? Communicating with someone who comes from a different culture is never an easy thing. We must understand what the other parties are talking about and what their vision and mission is. In this opportunity, Bukit Vista unravels this topic and shares them with students from PSB Academy.
The first session was open with the introduction to Bukit Vista, a start-up company that aim to Inspire Delight to every partner, guests, and employees. Standing in the industry of hospitality service, Bukit Vista has encountered so many different people from different cultures as a partner, guest, or even employee. But, we have built and maintained good communication with them throughout these years.
We have talked about all the different people and different cultures that we have met all these years. But, how do we maintain those relationships?
The answer is in community management which was explained in the next session of the webinar. As a Community Management, you will evolve and develop an ever-growing collection of properties & their owners. In collaboration with the Customer Relations team, you are expected to spend your days engaging property owners as our partners to build and maintain a delightful relationship with them.
Next thing that comes after understanding community management is understanding the art of persuasion and negotiation. The purpose is simply to enhance our transactional relationship and create an agreement that desires the best solution for both parties. When you understand how to persuade and negotiate with your partners, it will be much easier to work with the goals both of you intended.
Last but not least, the session is closed with the theory of empathy and how to use it. I am sure you’ve heard the word empathy somewhere before. Empathy is defined as the capacity to detect other people’s emotions as well as the ability to speculate on what they could be thinking or feeling.
There is no good community management or persuasion and negotiation if there’s no empathy underlying it. So, understand at what point your partner is understanding so that you can find the best way to communicate with them.
