The space

Towering above the sacred Ayung river, this four storey home rises above the treetop canopies and is a monument to sustainable building practices. It’s a beautiful and inspirational place that is rich in natural spiritual energy. The tall ceilings and flowing curvature of the roof enables natural ventilation to cool the villa. It’s a bamboo cathedral.

The inspirational design was pioneered by Elora Hardy, who promoted the bamboo as a sustainable building material at the 2015 TED conference. We believe in this promise of bamboo as an eternally available and sustainable building material. An experience to stay here is a step towards an improved future in human habitation.

This unique bamboo home stands in a village of 15 other similar properties. The exotic feel of the Balinese jungle is enhanced by the charm of local hospitality. There is a reception office and warung/ restaurant with food available onsite for those seeking comfort & convenience.

When you enter the teepee like villa entrance from tree-top canopy level and you instantly feel at home with nature with comfy sofas to curl up on. No TV needed here, although there is one in the media room which is a giant bamboo basket. The low-rise roofline frames the verdant surrounding jungle with sweeping cinematic views. A fully equipped kitchen is an entertainer’s dream for hosting a gathering of friends or family. The broad, curvaceous living room invites lazy afternoons over coffee & tea, looking across the treetops of the surrounding rain forests. If you need to work on your lap top in a secluded area, on the top level there is a open office with bamboo desk and chairs.

You descend the spiral staircase to two bedrooms separated by a small library then continue down to the master bedroom overlooking the jungle and an ideal spot for watching the sun rise. It’s a surreal experience in the morning. Imagine waking up the way a bird does, right up in a nest in the trees. The bamboo floors softly squeak beneath your feet. Descending down from the master bedroom, you’ll arrive upon a wide stone terrace and your very own small pool, set just over the flowing Ayung river.

The bathroom showers in each of the 3 bathrooms adjacent to each bedroom are powerful and invigorating. Brass bathtubs and shower floors are one of the few items in the villa not made from bamboo.

This villa with the former airbnb host had a 5 star rating with over 140 reviews and has featured in numbers of YouTube videos that we can send you the link to after the booking is confirmed.

WIFI
You’re probably not going to like this, but we will be as honest as possible about WiFi. We don’t have 100% reliable WiFi in Bali especially during the rainy season, even though we have installed from the best company.
The WiFi speed is as you can see in the picture, but we would say that the WiFi works around 40% – 80% only at the moment.

Guest access

All the room on the house is yours, including the private plunge pool and the fully equipped private kitchen. There is also a common area like the spacious garden and the bar that you can order food at.

AIR CONDITIONER
There is only 1 AC provided in our house. It’s located inside the bedroom in the master room.

ONSITE RESTAURANT
We have a restaurant here and the last order is at 6 pm. Meals are not included in the price. Our villa is one of the villas located in the Green Village Complex, therefore, it is possible for you to get access to our restaurants and other common areas.

PAYMENT METHOD
We prefer to take reservation on Airbnb. Airbnb accepts following payment method: credit card & pay pal. If you don’t have credit card, you can use electronic card by Bank such as Jenius by BTPN (Indonesia) and Digibank by DBS

PICK UP SERVICE
We are 35-45 minutes from the airport. We can assist you to provide an airport pick up service with the cost at IDR 500K (around USD 35) per car with driver including gasoline, with a maximum capacity of 5 people + luggage. The driver will be waiting for you at the arrival hall by holding signage of your name.

VISIT REGULATION
Airbnb policy stated that we can not do a site visit before the booking confirmed for safety reasons. The exact address, direction, and details of the property will be given after you book the property.

Early Check In
Early check-in is subject to the availability of the room, If there’s no other guest in the morning of your check-in day, we may be able to speed up your check-in time with extra charge with the details below:
Early check – in before 14:00 = 25% of the nightly rates
Early check – in before 10:00 = 50% of the nightly rates
Early check – in before 8:00 = 100% of the nightly rates

Please inform us at least 24 hours prior the time you want to do early check in, otherwise we can’t accommdate your early check in.

DINNER
There is no place for dinner in the area, and the restaurant there last order is at 6PM

POOL
Yes. We provide a private plunge pool that located in 1st floor in the house.

CAPACITY
Really sorry, our maximum occupancy is only 6 people. children older than 2 years old are counted as adults based on the Airbnb policy.

SCOOTER RENT
Yes, sure! Our onsite team can help you with scooter rental. It usually costs around IDR 80K – 100K per day without petrol, including 2 helmets.
