Meet Bukit Vista’s 24/7 Intern: Gaia

My name is Vito, I’m a back-end developer at a leading hospitality company based in Bali, where I orchestrate the intricate gears that power our mobile applications, internal websites, and drive the seamless flow of service notifications. With a passion for crafting robust and scalable systems, I thrive on turning complex challenges into elegant solutions. In today’s fast-paced hospitality industry that recovered from the Covid-19 era, effective communication is the key to ensuring guests have a memorable experience. As a backend developer at Bukit Vista, I’m thrilled to share details about my latest and ongoing project: Gaia (Guest AI Assistant). Gaia is a milestone in our effort to improve communication with both guests and partners, even employees while also showcasing the power of technology in our field.
 

Gaia serves as a platform for managing messages from travel agents such as Airbnb and Booking.com as well as messages from our valued partners. This integration simplifies our communication processes enabling our team to handle inquiries, requests, and feedback from every corner of the hospitality ecosystem. Not only that, Gaia also can provide any information that our employees need. Employees literally can ask Gaia anything, and she can grab the information from documents, Trello cards, our database, and even search from the internet. So cool right? 

One of the standout features of Gaia is its integration with an AI model developed by one of our colleagues, Rifqi. This AI model takes charge of responding to messages from both guests and partners ensuring that every message receives a reply. It’s a game changer for our team since it not only saves time but also guarantees timely responses thus raising our service standards.

The versatility of Gaia truly sets it apart. Through administrator configuration, messages can be automatically sent to guests or partners or it can be sent with executor approval. This level of customization empowers our team to adapt their communication approach based on circumstances guaranteeing guest satisfaction and partner collaboration.
