BVGO Actions: Rethinking How We Communicate, Collaborate, and Act
Hi, I’m Rama, HR Operations and Engagement at Bukit Vista. One of the things I admire most about working here is how our engineering team constantly finds new ways to enhance collaboration—not just internally, but with our partners too. The latest update to our BVGO platform is a perfect example: a total revamp of the Actions feature, where big ideas now get the visibility—and feedback—they deserve.

The Challenge: Good Ideas Were Getting Lost in the Feed
At Bukit Vista, we often rely on structured updates to help partners stay informed about their properties. These updates, which we call “Actions,” include operational improvements, project highlights, and new initiatives. But as the number of properties and activities grew, our feed became increasingly overwhelming. Important content was often buried beneath newer posts, and high-impact ideas were difficult to distinguish. Comments lacked proper timestamps, and replies didn’t notify the intended recipients—making two-way communication unreliable. Even simple things, like viewing images, became a challenge due to the lack of a zoom feature.
What was meant to be a communication tool was starting to hinder clarity instead of enhancing it.That’s when the team took action—literally.

Rebuilding BVGO Actions: Where Product Meets Empathy
This major improvement was led by Ega Permana, our Flutter Developer, with strong support from Wendy, our Flutter Developer Trainee, and Titan, our Product Owner. Together, they didn’t just build features—they questioned assumptions. They asked:

How do we make it easier to notice what matters? How do we mimic the familiarity of social media to encourage more interaction?

Here’s what they delivered: users can now navigate Actions more intuitively by swiping up to view older entries and swiping down to see the latest updates. Pinch-to-zoom functionality was added to all images and attachments, finally making it possible to examine visual content in detail. Comment sections were upgraded with clear timestamps and real-time notifications, making communication more timely and responsive. Behind the scenes, backend optimizations brought loading time down to just 0.2 seconds, and the feature was made fully accessible to all roles—owners, managers, and staff alike.
On top of that, Titan introduced a bold shift in layout, transforming our traditional newsletter format into something that feels more like Instagram Stories. This visual-first experience encourages engagement while keeping communication sharp, fast, and easily digestible.

Our heroes that made it happen!

Why BVGO Actions Matters to Us

We know that trust grows when communication is timely, visible, and engaging. These improvements aren’t just cosmetic—they help us build a faster, smarter, and more collaborative environment between our teams and partners. With clearer updates and interactive feedback tools, everyone gets a voice—and a spotlight.

In fact, following a recent user research and feedback session led by Nadia, our VP of Marketing, we found that users are genuinely enjoying the experience. Many partners mentioned how much they appreciate reading newsletters that include market updates. Beyond that, the new features have already begun to increase meaningful interaction between partners, property staff, and our internal teams.
