It’s also where we open the curtains on the challenges facing our industry—like the current oversupply of rental properties—and invite meaningful discussions with both local and international voices. With new videos published regularly and topics ranging from pricing shifts, guest behavior, brand value, to revenue optimization, we’re making insight accessible to our partners and the broader public.

This initiative wouldn’t exist without the dedication of a few key figures. Nadia, our VP of Marketing, drives the editorial strategy and ensures the message remains valuable to our partners. We also owe much of BBR’s progress to the frontliners who consistently show up as the faces and voices of the program—Mr. Jing (CEO), Wayana (Co-Founder), Bella (Upper Management Revenue Manager), and Jason (Business Journalist).
The idea to bring an academic voice into BBR came from Furqon, our VP of Employee Experience and Culture, who envisioned the value of bridging industry practice with academic insight. Acting on that vision, I had the opportunity to personally invite Bu Sekar Utami Setiastuti, Ph.D., a respected academic from Universitas Gadjah Mada, to join one of our sessions. Her episode explored the comparative dynamics of tourism and investment between Bali and Lombok, offering nuanced insights on regional growth, infrastructure, and market behavior. The session has since become our most-viewed episode on the channel. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can watch it here.
