Revolutionizing Guest Review Management

Recently, one of our data scientists, Felix, took it upon himself to streamline and enhance our guest review management process, resulting in a groundbreaking solution that is poised to revolutionize our operations.

Felix’s journey into this transformative project began when he was assigned to Content BBW (Buddy Balance Work), a program designed to facilitate collaboration among team members. In this role, Felix was tasked with handling guest review replies. What initially seemed like a straightforward task soon revealed itself to be a time-consuming endeavor.

Recognizing the need for efficiency, Felix embarked on a mission to optimize the process. He identified a bottleneck in the workflow – the time it took to locate guest reviews and formulate replies. Rather than accept this as an inevitable challenge, Felix turned to his technical skills to find a solution.

Fueled by a passion for innovation, Felix fired up his browser developer tools and, leveraging his programming prowess, crafted a Python script. This script was designed to automate the often tedious and manual task of finding guest reviews and crafting responses. By connecting this script with Google Colab, he created a seamless workflow that significantly expedited the review management process.

Felix’s innovation didn’t stop at streamlining guest review replies. It opened doors for our team to leverage previous innovations like GAIA (Guest AI Assistant). Now, our developers can develop this tool further to respond to guest reviews directly through Slack, our preferred communication platform. This integration empowers our team to provide timely and personalized responses, enhancing the overall guest experience.

But the benefits don’t end there. Inspired by Felix’s ingenuity, other developers on our team have further extended the capabilities of this new tool. They have developed a feature that can summarize property reviews provided by guests, saving substantial time previously spent sifting through numerous review pages.
