Hello, I’m Jey, currently interning with the Human Resource team at Bukit Vista. You might have come across my previous blog posts and articles, where I’ve shared insights about our company culture and stories from our dedicated employees. Today, I’m excited to share with you the stories of our team who recently had an offline meeting with a potential partner.

In the fast-paced world of business development, the power of personal connections and face-to-face interactions often takes a backseat to digital communications. However, a recent offline meeting by the dedicated team at Bukit Vista showcased the immense value of these in-person encounters.

A Lead Worth Pursuing

Our business development duo, Mahesi and Tanisma, embarked on a unique journey when they followed up on a promising lead, Pak Wagimin, who had been introduced to them through a call initiated by Tanisma. Pak Wagimin’s involvement in the villa construction industry made him an intriguing prospect for Bukit Vista.

The initial phone call served as a catalyst for a more profound connection. Rather than sticking to virtual interactions, Mahesi and Tanisma took the initiative to meet Pak Wagimin in person, going straight to the construction site where he was overseeing his projects. This face-to-face approach demonstrated our team’s commitment to fostering authentic and meaningful relationships.

Once at the construction site, Mahesi and Tanisma didn’t just stop at a brief introduction. They seized the opportunity to present their offerings, pitching their services, and sharing recommendations. The conversation flowed naturally, and before they knew it, they had initiated a promising connection with Pak Wagimin.

Pitching and Recommendations

During the meeting, the team also introduced Pak Wagimin to ANiMAL, our interior design partner. They highlighted their success stories in managing guesthouses and transforming them into unique and memorable spaces. This exchange of ideas and experiences opened up a world of possibilities and collaboration, further reinforcing the importance of personal meetings in the business world.

As the conversation continued, Pak Wagimin eagerly shared insights into his various projects in Bali, shedding light on the expansive scope of his work. This interaction not only expanded their network but also provided valuable market insights that could be pivotal in future endeavors.

The meeting wasn’t confined to just business discussions. Mahesi and Tanisma and their guest enjoyed a leisurely lunch and tea together. This informal setting allowed for a deeper connection to form, transcending the boundaries of a typical business transaction. They even had the opportunity to visit one of Pak Wagimin’s restaurants, gaining a firsthand experience of his work.

The Power of In-Person Interactions

An invitation was extended to Pak Wagimin for a Round Table Talk (RTT) scheduled for the following Thursday, further cementing the relationship and demonstrating the commitment to mutual growth.

The meeting also delved into the nitty-gritty of pricing and business plans, setting the stage for potential collaboration in the future. This level of detail and transparency in discussions can only be achieved through direct, in-person meetings.

In the age of remote work and virtual communication, this offline meeting served as a reminder of the importance of genuine, face-to-face interactions. It showcased the potential for collaboration, the exchange of ideas, and the building of strong, lasting connections. The hybrid office tour through Discord, another innovation in connecting the digital and physical worlds, was a testament to the team’s dedication to making the most of every opportunity.

In conclusion, Mahesi and Tanisma’s offline meeting with Pak Wagimin shows the spirit of Bukit Vista – a commitment to building connections, embracing opportunities, and fostering genuine relationships that extend beyond business. It is a reminder that in a world dominated by screens, personal interactions remain a driving force for success and growth.
