Welcome to Bukit Vista
As a Business Data Scientist, your primary responsibility will be to leverage data analytics and statistical modeling techniques to identify and implement revenue generation opportunities across our vacation rental business in Bali. You will play a pivotal role in analyzing large datasets, uncovering insights, and developing data-driven strategies to optimize pricing, occupancy rates, and guest satisfaction.

What will you do:
- Knowledge Management
- Design, build, and maintain advanced analytics models to extract insights from large datasets, enhancing business understanding and decision-making processes.
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning algorithms, and statistical methodologies, ensuring our analytics capabilities leverage cutting-edge technologies and practices.
- Strategy
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify opportunities for leveraging data science to drive strategic initiatives, solve complex challenges, and achieve competitive advantage.
- Conduct in-depth analyses to predict trends, measure performance, and evaluate the impact of strategic decisions, providing actionable insights to guide business planning and strategy.
- Operations
- Implement data-driven solutions and predictive models into operational processes to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall business performance.
- Work closely with IT and operational teams to ensure the seamless integration of analytical tools and models into the business ecosystem, fostering a data-informed culture across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role, preferably in the hospitality, travel, or vacation rental industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization techniques.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL, and experience with data manipulation and analysis using tools like pandas, NumPy, or Tableau.
- Solid understanding of revenue management concepts, pricing strategies, and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies and recommendations.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy and data integrity.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
