To further enhance our capabilities, we are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary:

As a Data Engineer at Bukit Vista, you will play a crucial role in enabling data-driven decision-making within our revenue management initiatives. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure that support dynamic pricing and other data-driven strategies aimed at optimizing revenue.

What will you do:

1. Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain data pipelines that collect, process, and prepare data from various sources, including property bookings, market trends, and competitor pricing.
2. Data Integration: Integrate data from multiple sources into a unified data warehouse or data lake, ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability.
3. Data Transformation: Perform data transformations, data cleansing, and aggregation to prepare data for analysis and modeling.
4. Database Management: Manage and optimize databases to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of data for analytical purposes.
5. ETL Processes: Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to automate data workflows and updates.
6. Data Modeling: Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to design and implement data models that support dynamic pricing and revenue optimization.
7. Data Governance: Implement data governance practices to ensure data privacy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
8. Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize data pipelines and infrastructure for speed, efficiency, and scalability.
9. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data engineering processes, data sources, and data lineage.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in data engineering, ETL development, and data pipeline management.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data engineering, such as Python, SQL, or Scala.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with data warehousing tools (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
